Daily tours
Foia downhill
Scenery: begins inland rural
Level: Easy -Medium
Foia to the beach
Starting at Foia the highest point in the Algarve, at over 900 meters above sea level ( Situated a few kilometers above the mountain side town of Monchique).    There are two routes from Foia that we use, one of which is on tarmac roads and the other varying between tarmac and semi rough off road.  Both routes involve elements of uphill (15%).  Route distances vary between 20-25 kilometers.
We will collect you from your hotel or Vila and take you to the top of the mountain, stopping on the way in Caldas de Monchique for coffee.   We will guide and follow you to the bottom of the mountain, taking regular breaks on the way at some very scenic points if required.
Normal collection time from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and return to the hotel between 3:30-4:00 p.m.

Alte to Paderne
Scenery: inland rural
Level: Easy
Alt is a beautiful rural town set in the hills below a damned fresh water spring which in the summer is used as a swimming and barbeque area.  We will pass by the fonte and continue into the town of Alte.  And then carry on downhill passing through very quiet rural country lanes.  At the bottom of the hill is a small waterfall where we will stop and you may take a swim or just take in the scenery.  Our lunch stop is just a few more kilometers ahead  where we will stop at a traditional Portuguese eatery.
This route involves elements of uphill (5%).  Route distance 15- 20kilometers.
Normal collection time from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and return to the hotel between 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Level: easy to medium                                                                                                 Heading west along the coast road it is less than10 km to the pretty fishing village of Ferragudo with it's fabulous beach and great restaurants. Another 5 km, and you are into the town or Portimao, with it's marina, beaches, fishing harbour and of course the shops, bars and restaurants. Just over the old bridge, to the right, in among the cobbled streets is the area to eat fresh barbeque grilled sardines.
